Fire weather concerns this weekend
A dry cold front will bring increasing wind Saturday.
FIRE WEATHER WARNING is posted for the Helena and Lewis & Clark National Forests, from the Bozeman area north to Helena. West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph along with humidities as low as 10 percent will bring extreme fire danger to the region.
FIRE WEATHER WATCH Saturday for eastern Lolo National Forest. West winds 15 to 25 mph, with gusts to 40 mph. Humidity values of 8 to 18 percent.
Clear, cool nights and sunny, warm days through the weekend and next week. Lows in the upper 40s and 50s with highs in the 80s. A few areas will cool to the upper 70s Sunday. Daytime highs will return to the 80s and near 90 by the middle of next week.
Fire danger remains at MODERATE in the Yellowstone Park, the Helena National Forest, the Lewis and Clark National Forest and the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. Fire danger is HIGH in Bitterroot National Forest, the Flathead National Forest, Lolo National Forest, and the Gallatin National Forest. Fire Danger is VERY HIGH in the Kootenai National Forest.
