GoFundMe campaign launched for victim of M trail attack in Missoula

The family of the victim in an attack on the M trail in Missoula has launched a GoFundMe campaign.

Jennifer Gress of Missoula was seriously injured Friday in the attack on Mt. Sentinel. She has been transferred to a Salt Lake City hospital.

Gress has two children, is the wife of a combat veteran and works at the Frenchtown School District.

Her family said she suffered devastating injuries to her head and face in the attack. She will need several reconstructive surgeries.

The suspect, Jared Kuntz, remains in custody.

Kuntz is also accused of attacking two brothers who were hiking in the area later the same afternoon.
