MISSOULA, Mont. — New images from Glacier National Park and the Park Conservancy show exactly how much snow the plows are up against.
The park's road status map says the plows are beyond Logan Pass and zeroing in on the Big Drift. Vehicles can drive to Avalanche, but more than nine miles of construction from Apgar and North McDonald Road will delay you.
Hikers and bikers can go to the Bird Woman overlook at the Loop, while plow crews are working, and your hard avalanche out is just beyond Haystack Creek when they are not. On the east side, you can bike up to Siyeh Creek.
