WIND ADVISORY for Flathead Lake on Tuesday. West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Waves of one to three feet.

Our next weather maker will arrive in the form of a cold front early Tuesday. Breezy winds and an isolated thunderstorm will be possible as the front moves through. The best chance of a thunderstorm will be north of Kalispell and across southwest Montana around Bozeman. Highs in the 80s in Missoula, Butte and Kalispell but lower 90s ahead of the front in Bozeman.

Dry and sunny Wednesday through Friday. Daytime highs will be above normal in the 80s to around 90.

Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler this weekend with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s.

Fire danger remains at MODERATE in Missoula County, the Flathead and Bitterroot National Forests and Yellowstone Park.

Fire danger is HIGH in the Gallatin National Forest and the Kootenai National Forest. The prolonged hot and dry weather will likely increase fire danger.
