Hotels plan for busy weekend during Missoula Marathon
MISSOULA, Mont. —
Businesses are gearing up for the Missoula Marathon this weekend.
The marathon attracts people from all over the U.S. Last year alone the race brought in over 450 runners for the full 26.2 miles.
“We’ve been booked out for this weekend for at least two and half or three months,” said Karrina Campos, the front desk night manager at the Hampton Inn.
The marathon is an opportunity for folks to travel to the Treasure State and see what It’s all about.
“It brings us together and gives us a chance show what we’re really about,” said Campos.
Campos says they make extra preparations for their guests.
“A hugely anticipated weekend all year, we try to make sure we have enough water, we bake extra cookies and try to be prepared as possible,” said Campos.
To accommodate guests, hotels are also working together to notify customers of any vacancies in the area.
