Valley inversions will persist in several locations across western Montana through Tuesday. Many areas have transitioned from fog to low stratus, but the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys can expect fog to return through the early evening hours, lasting through morning. Watch for patchy freezing fog as well, making for possible slippery road conditions.

Highs will be in the upper 20s with lows in the teens and 20s for the Missoula and Kalispell areas through Tuesday. Butte and Bozeman will see temperatures in the mid to upper 30s with lows in the single digits and teens. Clear skies will persist for most areas outside of the inversions through Wednesday.

Chances of snow will return by Wednesday with the greatest chances overnight. Most areas will see snow by Thursday.
