MISSOULA, Mont. — Two Jehovah’s Witnesses will head to court Monday in Thompson Falls about unreported sexual abuse by the congregation.
The women say they were sexually abused as children, and that Jehovah’s Witnesses failed to report their abuse to the state of Montana.
Instead, the women claim that the group punished the man internally by expelling him from the congregation until he returned after repenting the following year.
This is just one of dozens of lawsuits nationwide claiming sexual abuse from Jehovah’s Witness members.
The church claims that too much time has passed for the women to sue.
