Movie starring J.K. Simmons shooting in Missoula

MISSOULA, Mont. — University of Montana graduate and Academy Award-winning actor J.K. Simmons is shooting a movie in Missoula right now.

"The Woods" is a feature-length film directed by Michelle Schumacher, according to a notice from the Montana Film Office.

Production is underway through Saturday, then will pick up again Oct. 17-19 on Alvina Drive.

Traffic and parking are restricted there.

The Simmons family moved to Missoula in the early 1970s, when Simmons' father became the director of UM's School of Music.
