MISSOULA, Mont. — At around 10:30 Friday morning, Missoula police responded to the 2900 block of Mullan Road for a report of shots fired.
MPD responded to the scene and located several subjects who are currently being interviewed as part of an ongoing investigation.
NBC Montana was one of the first on the scene during the law enforcement activity. We witnessed two people being put into handcuffs.
They were searched and put in the back of two police cars and taken from the area.
This is not the first call dispatch has received about this area this week, and there have been dozens of calls to law enforcement this summer.
Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
Traffic in the area was backed up across the bridge and was reduced to a single lane northbound for a couple of hours.
Officers are not currently searching in that area anymore, but the investigation continues.
