Logan Health is hosting a stationary bike relay race at to raise money for Montana youth impacted by medical hardship.

Proceeds will go toward a fund helping cover out-of-pocket medical expenses for qualifying youth and young adults under 21 years of age.

During the six-hour event, each team member will pedal as far and as fast as they can for 20 minutes on stationary bikes. The distance will be recorded on a computer, and teams can see their results in real time.

"Our goal is to raise $100,000 for youth in the state of Montana, Logan Health and non-Logan Health patients alike that have medical hardships that are not met by other means of funding,” Cycle Montana event director Krista Rufenach said.

Prizes are given out every 20-minute round for categories like speed, distance and rider age.

Grand prizes will be awarded to the top teams who ride the farthest distance and raise the most funds.

Individuals and teams with up to 12 people can sign up now. The event will be held at the Glacier High School gymnasium on March 11.

Virtual attendance is also available.
