BOZEMAN, Mont. — A Montana man is being held at the Gallatin County Detention Center in connection to a suspected homicide.
The arrest followed an anonymous tip received by a state law enforcement agent, according to charging documents filed in Madison County District Court.
The source, according to court documents, claimed to know what happened to 37-year-old Michelle Sorrows, an Ennis woman reported missing in August.
The source reportedly told law enforcement that her boyfriend, a man named Stanley Bernardini, had murdered Sorrows and buried her body on a Madison County Ranch.
Officers later found evidence of a struggle inside Bernardini's apartment, documents said, along with blood that tested positive with Sorrow's DNA.
Investigators said there was also ample evidence that Bernardini tried to clean up the blood, which is why he's being held on a felony charge of tampering with evidence, along with several misdemeanor drug charges.
