Missoula approves bonds to pay for Missoula Mercantile site development

    City council approves reimbursement and new bonds to pay for Missoula Mercantile site developments.

    The Missoula City Council authorized Mayor John Engen to sign a reimbursement agreement with Mercantile Investors, LLC, to pay for certain design and construction costs at the Missoula Mercantile site.

    City council members adopted resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of $3,647,844 in tax increment urban renewal revenue bonds to pay for some of the improvements.

    Developers saved the pharmacy facade of the historic building and are putting in a new hotel.
