MISSOULA, Mont. — Missoula County commissioners signed off on a resolution establishing impact fees.
The fees are a one-time payment for growth-related infrastructure like water, wastewater and transportation.
They're typically collected when building permits are issued.
Public comment on the topic was mixed.
Some residents expressed concern the fees will raise the cost of homes. But those in support back the fees so long as they are reasonable.
Impact fees are expected to be implemented by the end of the year.
