Missoula realtors help kids obtain winter clothes, school supplies

MISSOULA, Mont. - The Missoula Organization of Realtors is working to make sure kids have proper winter clothes, school supplies, and enough food.

The realtors' MOR4KIDS nonprofit provides winter coats, boots, household necessities, toys and other items to families in need.

The MOR Store is in a room at the organization's office. School counselors and teachers may shop free of charge for kids in need.

MOR4KIDS has provided almost $35,000 in direct contributions to Missoula schools. It has two major fundraisers a year.

"At-risk children have been continually on the rise in Missoula," said Missoula Organization of Realtors President Brint Wahlberg. "So this is something where you don't see it, because they're staying on a couch, They're staying in a camper in an RV park, so this is there to help these kids and their families."

MOR4KIDS funding also helped provide gift cards for groceries, gas and phone bills.
