A woman who claims to be the mother of a 5-month-old baby found in the woods near Lolo Hot Springs Sunday is sharing new information with us about the suspect.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office shared a photo of the baby’s hand. You can see the dirt under his nails, a cut on his hand.

The woman described Frank Crowley as a friend she had known for three years. Now he’s in the Missoula County Jail accused of criminal endangerment.

We are not releasing the woman’s name in order to protect the baby’s identity.

She told us Crowley regular babysat for her, dropped her off and picked her up from work consistently with no problems. She said Crowley told her he’d gotten a job that started Saturday morning, the day the baby went missing.

The woman said he told her he would find a day care or take the baby back to her so her coworkers could watch him.

She went on to say she next saw Crowley fighting with someone near her work and claiming the baby had been lost in a car wreck.
