High pressure is bringing nice autumn weather to western Montana. We may actually see temperatures near normal by Friday before a Canadian cold front cools us again this weekend.
Clear Thursday night and cold with lows in the 20s to lower 30s. Sunshine giving way to afternoon clouds and increasing west winds. Highs in the 50s to around 60.
A cold front arrives Friday night and Saturday, bringing gusty winds and much cooler air to the region. A few snow showers and flurries, mainly in the mountains and across southwest Montana around Butte and Bozeman. MSU's homecoming will be a cold one with snow showers and gusty winds. Highs Saturday in the 30s in Butte and Bozeman to the 40s in Missoula and Kalispell.
Finally, a warming trend where we will see temperatures at and above normal. Sunshine each day next week with highs warming to the upper 50s to mid 60s by mid week.
