High pressure is building into western Montana. After a cold start to Tuesday with record lows in Butte, Bozeman and Dillon, sunshine brought a pleasant Tuesday to western Montana. The nice weather continues through Wednesday with clear to partly cloudy skies. Not as cold Wednesday morning with lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Highs Tuesday in the 70s to around 80.

A weak cold front will move into the region late Wednesday and Thursday. Moisture will be limited but there is still a chance of a shower or thunderstorm during this time period, mainly around Butte and Bozeman and north of Kalispell. Highs will drop to the 60s Thursday.

Mostly dry and a little warmer Friday with highs in the 60s in Butte and Bozeman to the lower 70s in Missoula and Kalispell.

Weather models now indicate a good chance of significant rain across NBC Montana this weekend. A large storm system will sit over the region with some tropical moisture associated with it. Highs will be in the 60s, which is below normal for this time of the year.
