Pre-evacuation warnings stay in place on Gold Hill Fire north of Libby

The Gold Hill Fire 13 miles north of Libby is burning on more than 4,000 acres.

About 400 personnel are on the fire. They only have 1% of it contained.

Cooler weather has let them work on Blue Mountain and Noise Creek Roads, and Highway 68.

Pre-evacuation notices are still in place along Pipe Creek Road. and crews are helping to make sure structures are protected.

Also in that region, The Davis Fire is burning on about 6,600 acres and the Sterling Complex covers about 1,400.
