Snowmobiler injured after crashing into tree outside West Yellowstone

A 40-year-old Texas man is suffering from a broken leg.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office reports that he crashed into a tree on his snowmobile, even though he was on a groomed trail.

He was riding along Two Top Trail west of West Yellowstone Wednesday.

Officials say rescuers got to the injured man 40 minutes after he called for help.

They transported him to a local hospital.

The sheriff is warning snowmobilers to be careful in our severe conditions, even on groomed trails.
