Standout UM Western athlete arrested on sexual assault charge
BOZEMAN, Mont. —
Standout University of Montana Western defensive back Kyrin Allen was arrested last week on charges of sexual intercourse without consent, according to the Beaverhead County Sheriff’s Office.
Allen, 20, was later released later on bond, records show.
NBC Montana left a message with Dillon Police Chief Don Guiberson requesting more information.
UM Western Director of Communications Matt Raferty provided the following statement.
"The University is aware of this matter and we are following our established policies and procedures in response. Pursuant to the University’s Student Athlete Code of Conduct, in these situations, student-athletes are suspended indefinitely from all athletic activities pending the outcome of the investigation. We will await completion of the investigation before commenting further."
