Strong to Severe T'storms this afternoon
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across west central Montana, including the Missoula, Butte and Hamilton areas. Storms will begin to develop after 5PM. These storms will produce frequent lightning, heavy rain, small hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph. Highs Friday in the 70s to around 80.
Spring time showers and warm temperatures are expected through the weekend. Some storms will produce brief heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. The most numerous showers will occur across southwest and west central Montana with less across the northwest. Those spending time on area lakes will experience choppy conditions. Highs will be in the 70s Saturday. We will cool slightly Sunday and Monday with highs in the 60s and 70s.
FLOOD WARNING continues for the Clark Fork River above Missoula to Plains. Moderate flooding is going to continue into early next week.
FLOOD WARNING for the Big Hole River. Locations that will experience flooding include Wisdom, Melrose, Wise River, Dewey and Glen.
FLOOD WARNING for the Jefferson River. Locations that will experience flooding include Three Forks, Trident, Willow Creek, Cardwell, Lewis And Clark Caverns State Park and Missouri Headwaters State Park.
FLOOD WARNING for the Bitterroot River in Missoula and Ravalli County.

FLOOD WATCH for Gallatin, Broadwater and Madison Counties east of the divide. This is in southwest Montana, including the Bozeman, Ennis and West Yellowstone areas.
