UM Western athlete charged with rape
A standout UM Western football defensive back was charged Thursday with sexual intercourse without consent, according to court filings in Beaverhead County District Court.
NBC Montana reported last month that authorities arrested Kyrin Allen, 20, on November 2 on a warrant for sexual assault. Allen later bonded out.
According to court documents filed Thursday, a woman told officers that Allen had forcible intercourse with her without her consent while she pretended to sleep in the early hours of October 28.
The alleged assault followed a night of heavy drinking and the consumption of a small amount of Molly at a house party and bar, documents said.
The woman told officers she awoke in the middle of the night in her bed next to Allen at her Dillon residence when the assault began.
The next morning she went to Barrett Hospital where a rape examination was conducted and evidence of sexual assault was collected.
The woman later reported the sexual assault to police.
