Unsettled weather continues through the weekend
We are tracking a cold front that will bring more rain and gusty winds to the region today. Wind gust up to 40 mph are expected this afternoon. Highs will be in the low 50s. Snow levels will stay above 7000 feet for much of Friday, but they will drop to 6000 feet this evening. Mountain passes will become snow-covered this evening. Prepare for winter driving conditions if you are traveling over mountain passes or in the back-country this weekend.
Saturday's forecast calls for mainly mountain showers, but widespread rain is expected Sunday and Monday. Valleys could see 0.25 to 0.75 of rainfall.
The chilly and wet weather is expected through the middle of next week before finally diminishing late week.
