Weather Alert Day: Travel impacts from blowing snow

    WIND CHILL ADVISORY for all of southwest Montana east of the divide, including Bozeman, until 2pm Sunday. Wind chills of 15 to 35 below zero.

    WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY until 2 pm Saturday for the Kalispell, Polson, Missoula, Hamilton, Seeley Lake and Butte. Snowfall of up to 2 inches with wind gusts up to 40 mph. Travel impacts will include reduced visibility and blowing and drifting snow.

    WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY through Sunday for Beaverhead, Madison and Gallatin Counties. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches will be possible Sunday.

    An arctic cold front is moving across western Montana. It will bring strong gusty winds and snow to the region. Additional snow accumulations will stay light for areas west of the divide. East northeast winds behind the front gusting up to 30 and 40 mph. Dangerous wind chills through the weekend. Periods of snow through the weekend. Lows will drop to the single digits above and below zero with highs in the single digits above zero.

    Snow and blowing snow will create travel difficulties, but sure to check the ROAD CONDITIONS from the Montana Department of Transportation.

    Temperatures will remain well below normal through next week and beyond. Some models suggest at least through February 20th.
