BOZEMAN, Mont. - Gallatin Valley locals took a step back in time at the 11th annual Wild West Winterfest. Representatives with the Gallatin County Fairgrounds say the event teaches folks about Montana's history with living history exhibits from local museums and activities for kids. But it's not all about history, other events include a dog keg pull, skijoring and a snowmobile show. Folks with the fairgrounds say, it's also an important fundraiser for them and the money they raise helps to keep their doors open. "About a third of our budget comes from tax dollar and the rest we have to generate so, we do that through rental fees, facility rentals year round, the county fair and winterfest so, it's really important to us to do the best that we can do to produce something that people want to come and see," says Gallatin County Fairgrounds Manager Sue Shockley. Wild West Winterfest continues Sunday with events beginning at 8:30 in the morning.
