Winter chill, more snow on the way

    We are waking up to some of the coldest temperatures so far this season. Dress in layers and stay warm!

    WIND CHILL ADVISORY through Friday for Beaverhead, Madison, Jefferson, Broadwater and Gallatin Counties. Dangerous wind chills in the 20s to 40s below zero are occurring this morning. Exposed skin can suffer from frostbite in less than 30 minutes.

    Dry skies and a little sunshine can be expected today, it will remain cold. This time of year, temperatures should be in the mid 30s. However, our daytime highs will be in the teens and low 20s.

    Our next weather maker will bring another round of snow Friday. A Weather Alert Day will be in place Friday for accumulating snow. Snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches will be possible Friday night and early Saturday, mainly in northwest Montana including Kalispell.

    Gusty wind and arctic air will be common this weekend. Many areas will struggle to make it out of the single digits this weekend.
