Portland, Oregon police on Tuesday seized a “bag full of drugs” labeled as “definitely not a bag full of drugs” from a stolen car, according to the agency.

The Portland Police Bureau’s (PPB) East Precinct posted on social media a picture of the items it said officers found in the car. The picture shows the bag next to money, scales, a gun and small packets of white and blue contents.

PPB Public Information Officer Mike Benner told The National News Desk that the agency seized 79 fentanyl pills and 12 bags of meth weighing 220 grams. It also found a container with more meth and three fake oxycodone pills, according to Benner.

The bureau said the bag was found less than a mile from the city's limits in an area known for open drug use.

“Last night, pro-active police work from East Precinct night shift officers resulted in the location of a stolen vehicle in the area of SE 162/Division. There was a bag full of drugs, scales, money, loaded firearm,” the agency wrote on X.

Benner told TNND that Mia Baggenstos and Reginald Reynolds, the people in the car, were charged with delivering meth, illegally having meth, possession of a controlled substance, having a stolen vehicle and the unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Last month, the bureau announced it carried out a two-day “mission” focused on apprehending people selling and using drugs in eastern Portland. Officers arrested 33 and seized more than 150 fentanyl pills, 30 grams of meth, 250 grams of cocaine and 1.5 grams of heroin, according to the announcement.

The agency added that it also seized a gun and recovered a stolen vehicle.

“This multi-agency mission addressed the issue of criminal drug possession and dealing,” the announcement read. “Multiple people were taken into custody during the mission period.”
