SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND, Ecuador (WPEC) — Emergency crews are working to clean up an oil spill in the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador.
It happened when a cargo vessel overturned on Sunday while being loaded with containers on San Cristobal Island.
The crane collapsed into the water, causing the boat to capsize.
Authorities say 600 gallons of oil went into the water near the UNESCO World Heritage site.
No one was hurt.
