Feed Montana Fundraiser set to start in September

MISSOULA, Mont. — September is National Hunger Action month, and the Montana Food Bank Network is rallying the community to support its fellow neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
Organizers say the Feed Montana is their largest fundraiser of the year with the goal of bringing in $90,000, the equivalent of at least 360,000 meals for Montana families.
The Missoula Downtown Association is working with the food bank to spread awareness by changing the pavilion lights in Caras Park to the color orange to represent hunger action month.
“Recognizing National Hunger Action Month is particularly critical this year as Montanans face increased barriers to affordable, nutritious food. More than ever, our food insecure neighbors need our support,” said MFBN President and Chief Executive Officer, Gayle Carlson. “Let's join together to ensure that every child, adult and senior has consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life.”
