BOZEMAN, Mont. — On Thursday, Bozeman High announced the hiring of new volleyball head coach Devin Jones and boys soccer head coach Patrick Straub.

Devin Jones is the new Bozeman High Head Volleyball Coach. Coach Jones is a Montana native and was a three-sport athlete in high school. She earned several All-State honors in both volleyball and basketball and attended Montana Tech on an athletic scholarship. Sports have always been a major part of her life and you can usually find her in a gym playing, coaching or cheering for the many athletes in her life. Outside of sports, she is a small business owner and enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of everything Montana life has to offer.

Patrick Straub is the new Head Boys Soccer Coach at Bozeman High. Patrick Straub has been coaching for over 25 years and has been a head coach or assistant coach at the collegiate, high school, and ODP levels throughout Montana, Wisconsin and Florida. At the collegiate level Patrick coached three United Soccer Coaches NCAA DIII All-Region players and at the high school level coached two United Soccer Coaches high school All-American players. Coach Straub holds a USSF B license.
Patrick previously led the Helena Capital and Bozeman High School boy’s programs. From 2005 through 2007 he coached Helena Capital and in 2002 he coached Bozeman High. During those four seasons his teams never finished lower than fourth in the state tournament.
Straub led both of those programs to state runner-up finishes, Capital in 2007 and Bozeman High in 2002. He also coached the East Team at the 2002 and 2003 Shodair All-Star Classic.
As a player, Straub was a member of Bozeman High's inaugural soccer team in 1991. After graduating from Bozeman High in 1993 he went to Florida Southern College where he was a member of the Sunshine State Conference All-Freshman team. After his freshman year he transferred to Beloit College (Wisc.), playing three seasons there. While at Beloit he won All-Conference honors and led the program to their first conference championship appearance in over 25 years.
