Former Griz show off skills at annual Pro Day

David Reese runs through drills at Montana's Pro Day.

Eight recent Montana Grizzlies as well as a pair of former Montana Tech football players demonstrated their speed, strength and agility during Montana's annual Pro Day at the University of Montana on Monday.

"I'd say it's just a mental grind more than anything." said former UM stand-out defensive player Tucker Schye after the drills concluded. "You know you're working out hard but that's basically all you're doing. It's not for football stuff. It's basically to prove your athleticism."

NFL scouts from five different teams were on hand to get a first-person look at these athletes.

"I like to be the best at what I do and being in the NFL means that you're one of the best in the world to play football," explained former UM offensive lineman David Reese. "So that's why I want to do it. I love football."

"For us FCS guys to come out here and really make a name for ourselves," said former UM cornerback Ryan McKinley. "Really show there's not that much of a discrepancy between FCS and FBS players, so it's huge."
