MISSOULA, Mont. — Wednesday will be a day many high school athletes remember. It’s National Signing Day, and for local high schoolers around the Treasure State, it’s exciting to get the opportunity to play at the next level.
“It's pretty crazy. Today finally set in – wow, I actually get to keep playing this sport in college. Not many people get the opportunity to get to do that, so it's just crazy I get to,” said Brendan Hill, who’s attending Wenatchee Valley College to play baseball.
Rylan Ortt signed to play safety at MSU, and he’s glad to be playing at the next level.
“Division I football, I’ve always wanted to play at a high level, and they wanted me, so I wanted to go there,” said Ortt.
Corvallis senior Garrett Brown signed to play offensive line at University of Mary in Bismark, North Dakota.
“When I went up on the visit there they impressed me and showed me how much they wanted to win and commitment to winning, commitment to the guys and commitment to playing the right kind of football, and after leaving there was no way I couldn't sign,” said Brown.
