Pacific's Jack Williams transferring to Montana hoops

Jack Williams is transferring to Montana for his final season of college basketball.

After watching four players announce their departures from the Montana men's basketball program over the past two weeks, Monday the Grizzlies added a name back in to the hat for this upcoming season.

Jack Williams, a junior player for the Pacific Tigers in the West Coast Conference, announced on twitter Monday afternoon that he will be joining his high school state championship teammate Michael Oguine at Montana.

After a freshman season at Long Beach State, followed by three years at Pacific, the 6-foot-8 forward will be joining Montana as a graduate transfer for his final year of eligibility. That means he will be able to play immediately this coming season.

Williams averaged over eight points and just under six rebounds per game for the Tigers last year. His size and versatility as a big man will help fill the void left by the graduation of Fabijan Krslovic. Williams hit 40 threes last year which ranked second-most on Pacific.

Montana still has two more scholarships available for the upcoming season out of the five vacated spots.
