BOZEMAN, Mont. — It was a top-three conference match up on Monday night in Worthington Arena. Between the Montana State Bobcats and the Northern Colorado Bears, the Bobcats had a lot to prove. With a rough first half out the window, MSU came back in the second half and out-shot UNC, 50-43 percent. Within the last five minutes, the game was neck and neck.
With only 13 seconds left, Tyler Hall missed a potential game-tying shot, allowing UNC to get the rebound and get fouled.
However, Tyler Hall is hardly the blame. Going into Monday's contest, Tyler Hall sat at 2,143 career points, needing only 27 more points to break the Big Sky Conference all-time scoring record. Hall scored a team high of 25 points. He will break the record on his next bucket, which will more than likely be against Eastern Washington on Saturday.
Head coach Brian Fish will hold a press conference on Tuesday regarding the loss, and he will discuss more on the upcoming contest against Eastern Washington.
